I was born in New Zealand and moved to Victoria, Australia when I was seven.

I have been a massage therapist for nearly 20 years and joined the Champion Health team in 2021.

My favourite part about being a massage therapist is helping people feel better mentally and physically through conversation and touch. 

Outside of work, I love the outdoors and spending walking my dogs.

My massage team specialty is teaching and providing couples massages and using various tools to elicit stress relief, peace of mind and improve self-esteem.

Amy Burren

I was born in Manly, New South Wales but grew up in Queensland on the Gold Coast.

I joined the Champion Health team in 2023 and my favourite part about being a massage therapist is helping people achieve maximum health, especially with access to a huge health team!

Outside of work I love to swim, watch anime, garden and explore new destinations.

My special interest as a massage therapist is in improving flexibility, relieving pain and improving quality of sleep.

Abbie Russell

I was born in Brisbane and raised in Logan and graduated as an Exercise Physiologist in 2022.

My favourite part about being an Exercise Physiologist is having the chance to permanently improve somebody’s health and independence with a team of health professionals.

Outside of work you will find me outdoors hiking, camping or even at the beach with my family and friends.

Here’s a fun fact, sometimes I even dabble in tennis and athletics.

My area of interest as an exercise physiologist is primarily in neurological and musculoskeletal conditions.

Jack Bolton

I was born and raised in Brisbane and have been an Exercise Physiologist since 2022.

My favourite part about being an Exercise Physiologist at Champion Health is using my skills in Hydrotherapy to help people gain independence, build exercise capacity and reduce pain.

Outside work, I’m an avid soccer player and always keen to play team sports or computer games.

My specialty as an exercise physiologist is using Hydrotherapy to guide people with restrictive conditions to experience the freedom of the water!

Barbara Rallis

I was raised around the Brisbane and Gold Coast areas and joined the Champion Health team in 2023.

Prior to my career in psychology, I worked in the forensic field for 18 years in multiple roles with corrective services and the police.

My desire to help people achieve their full potential is what led me to become a psychologist.

My favourite part about being a psychologist is helping people achieve their authentic selves.

When we embrace who we are and learn to maximise our positives as well as work with our challenges; then the magic of life truly begins!

My area of interest is eclectic therapy — I adapt to the needs of each client, using a multi-modal approach to achieve the best possible outcomes.

I’m particularly experienced with forensic psychology and complex presentations including NDIS, trauma, emergency, security and armed services.

Remember, you don’t need to have a ‘condition’ see a psychologist… psychology is about getting you to operate at YOUR BEST.

Marlo Elms

Currently on Maternity leave until till mid '24

I was born and raised in Brisbane and joined the Champion Health team in 2022.

Previously I travelled for several years around Australia, working as a dietitian & diabetic educator in various areas before returning to Brisbane in 2022.  

My favourite part about being a diabetes educator and dietitian is that I get to break down the confusion and myths around food and illness. I create individual-specific eating habits and realistic timeframes for every lifestyle and goal.

Nothing is more exciting than hearing someone tell me they’re relieved knowing what they can do and not what they can’t.

Outside work, you’ll catch me powerlifting in the gym, walking my dogs, drinking too much coffee, and eating out regularly.

My specialty in the dietetics team is as the diabetes educator!

Sam Armstrong

She/They

I was born and raised in Brisbane and joined the Champion Health team in 2022. 

I finished my dietetics degree in 2017, and before this, I was a semi-professional swimmer and swim coach for 13 years.

My favourite part about being a dietitian is giving clients practical and easy ways to achieve their health goals.

Outside work, you’ll find me gel blasting, playing Dungeons & Dragons or screaming my lungs out at music concerts.

My specialty as a dietitian is in elite sport level sports nutrition.

I was born and raised on the Gold Coast, QLD and graduated as a Dietitian & Nutritionist in 2022.

My favourite part about being a Dietitian at Champion Health is getting to create nutrition habits & routines that are tailored to an individuals style and preferences.

Often, people think there’s a ‘perfect’ way to eat that anyone can follow… but it’s not true!

Outside of work, I love to travel and be physically active.

Here’s a fun fact; growing up I was a gymnast and used to train 30+ hours per week!

My area of interest as a dietitian is around eating behaviours and mental health, especially in female athletes.

Isabella Peterson

I was born and raised in Brisbane and have been a dietitian since 2019.

I believe it is a superpower to understand food and nutrition as you can enjoy the foods you love and balance this with excellent health and energy.

Everyone thinks that food is simple… my favourite part about working as a dietitian at Champion Health is that I genuinely get to show people how food will improve their health condition, mental clarity, energy, mood, training outcomes, libido and more!

Outside of work, I am a regular runner and, in my former life, was involved with gymnastics.

My specialty as a dietitian is helping people step off the diet merry-go-round, regain control of their lives and heal their perspective around food!

I finished my dietetics degree in 2023 and prior to this was an actor and performer.

My favorite part about being a dietitian is repairing people’s relationships with food.

Food is a fundamental part of social life and brings communities and people together.

Outside of work you’ll catch me in a gym dialling in my deadlift, squat and bench.

My specialty as a dietitian is in strength sports nutrition and bariatric surgery.

Lachlan Ty Smith

I was born and raised in Brisbane and joined the Champion Health team in 2023.

My favorite part about being a Physiotherapist is meeting people from all walks of life and helping them achieve their goals.

I believe in a personalized approach where the first step is listening to client’s stories, understanding their condition and creating realistic results!

Outside work, you’ll find me watching anything sport related – particularly rugby league, socializing with friends and family or adventuring.

My specialty as a physiotherapist is in sports related injuries and chronic pain… especially athletes with chronic pain!

Areas of Interest

  • Kicking Sports:  soccer, football, afl
  • Contact Sports: rugby league, rugby union, boxing and MMA
  • Chronic and persistent pain in athletes lasting more than 6 months.

Nick Benson

I was born in Minnesota, United States and went to university in Arizona.

Before I joined the Champion Health team in 2023 I was a collegiate NCAA D1 diver competing nationally for 4 years.

My favorite part about being a physiotherapist is challenging people to reach health goals they didn’t think were possible.

Outside of work you’ll catch me either travelling overseas or at the beach, hiking or playing volleyball.

My special interest as a physiotherapist is in gymnastics, athletics and neurological conditions.

Garrick Harding-Smith

I was born and raised in Brisbane and joined the Champion Health team in 2017.

Recently I finished my physiotherapy degree, so now I am a dual-qualified physiotherapist and exercise physiologist at Champion Health!

My favourite part about being a health professional is helping clients get back to the life they used to have before their injury or concern.

Outside work, you’ll find me playing golf, drinking a beer, watching Rugby and socializing with friends and family.

My specialty as an exercise physiologist & physiotherapist is in looking after Veterans and Gray Nomads.

I was born and raised in Brisbane and completed my Physiotherapy study in 2022 at UQ.

I developed an interest in Physiotherapy after competing and being injured in basketball.

My favourite part about working at Champion Health is meeting people from all walks of life and helping coach them through their complex injuries and worries.

Outside work, I love to hike and spend time at the beach.

My physiotherapy specialty is working with chronic lower back pain and women’s health conditions.
